Obtaining an Irish residence permit for investment

A residence permit by investment in Ireland is a permit for long-term residence of an immigrant in the country, obtained for a substantial investment in the state.

An economic residence permit allows a wealthy citizen from Russia to move to the “emerald island” with his family and live there, making a profit from his deposits.

Since the launch of the investment program in 2012, Ireland has attracted more than half a billion euros of foreign capital into the economy. The authorities are striving to simplify the issuance of Golden Visas, while strictly monitoring the integrity of financial transactions. By following the requirements of the Irish program, an investor can naturalize in the country and eventually obtain an EU passport.

Irish tax resident status is not automatically assigned to an investor and depends on the period of permanent residence. Fees are levied in accordance with double tax treaties.
